Location and access
Location: Situated in the southern part of Kenya, approximately 100 km northwest of Nairobi.
Access: Can be reached via the A104 Nairobi-Naivasha road, followed by the Moi South Lake Road, which leads to Elsa Gate.
Accessibility: The main circuit is accessible with a 2WD vehicle, but a 4WD is needed for other areas.

Geological formations: The park is famous for its striking volcanic scenery, including the Hell's Gate Gorge, Fischer's Tower, and the Ol'Karia Geothermal Station.
Wildlife viewing: While it has lions and leopards, it is more known for plains game like zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and various antelope species. Olive baboons are often seen around Fischer's Tower.
Adventure activities: Visitors can hike, cycle, rock climb, and abseil. The park is unique for allowing walking and cycling in certain areas.
Bird watching: Over 100 bird species, including secretary birds, ostriches, and raptors, have been recorded.
